Kristen Reyes, RID is the seasoned interior designer and CEO behind her full-service design firm, Sey Interiors headquartered in Dallas, TX. With a prestigious degree from Miami University from the school of architecture, Kristen was recruited by top international design firms completing projects for Southwest Airlines HDQ to luxury high-rise developments that dot the Dallas skyline. Today, she brings this expertise in construction, design, and project management to her busy, professional clients looking to design forever-family homes.
Coming from a long line of contractors, makers, and artists, the design industry runs through her veins. Moving five times before her fifteenth birthday, she actively participated in renovations, construction, and design at an early age making the decision to be an interior designer a very natural one. A degree in interior design from an acclaimed design school set her up for a career in commercial architecture, but a passion for personalization and customization guided her to the residential sphere after putting nearly 1.5 million square feet of commercial design under her belt. Armed with professionalism and industry best practices, as an interior designer and CEO, Kristen translates the needs of busy, professional clients into functional and beautiful homes that will support their families for years to come.
Sey Interiors focuses on large-scale construction in North Dallas, Richardson, and Plano, taking projects from the studs to final styling. She loves a home with “good bones” and cultivates the existing character combined with the function that a busy family requires with a keen eye for detail. She is passionate about understanding the hidden potential of every home, ensuring ROI with each renovation. She deeply values the connection between designer and client, which results in a partnership built on trust and friendship. Her signature aesthetic is driven by the personality of the end-user, combined with warmth, layers, and texture to create one-of-a-kind, completely custom designs.
When not designing (which isn’t often!) she is spending time with her husband Carl in their Richardson Heights 1960s post-war cottage, supporting locally owned coffee shops, antique shopping, or watching Parks & Rec reruns. She believes that putting down deep roots is invaluable, so she invests in her community and is a member of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. She frequents Bush Central Barkway with her rescue pup, Aspen. She is an amateur chef and her recent travels to Italy have turned her into a pasta aficionado.
