At its heart, Chicken Soup for the Soul is about creating comfort through thoughtful change. What began as an unexpected opportunity became a complete reimagining of the home’s main floor for a family of four ready to make their space work better for daily life and gathering.
The original layout kept the kitchen separate from the surrounding living areas, limiting connection and flow. By opening the plan and refining the home’s challenging angles, the spaces now feel intuitive and welcoming. A built-in breakfast banquette anchors the kitchen as a natural gathering place, while a newly introduced bar seamlessly connects the formal living spaces for effortless hosting. Even a beloved tack board tradition was preserved through a tailored tackable wall covering—functional, yet beautifully integrated into the design.
The primary bath was transformed into a layered retreat, featuring a custom shower wrapped in five distinct tiles for added depth and personality. The finished home feels warm, cohesive, and deeply personal—an approach later recognized in BESPOKE: A Philosophy of Beauty, a meaningful milestone for both the family and the studio.
