Countess Charmer

2022

Sparkman Club Estates, Dallas, Texas

First Floor
Renovation

Classic cottage ranch charm set the tone for Countess Charmer, a first-floor renovation designed for a family of five ready to make better use of the home’s original bones. While much of the structure remained intact, the layout was thoughtfully opened to improve flow, connectivity, and daily function—without sacrificing the warmth that made the house special.

The kitchen was reimagined to feel more spacious and connected to surrounding living areas, and much-needed pantry storage was carved out by subtly expanding into the garage. A once-cramped dining area was redefined by reallocating adjacent spaces, creating room for meaningful gatherings around the table. The powder bath was fully renovated, and throughout the home, finishes were selected to support a soft cottage aesthetic that feels both timeless and approachable.

Designed entirely virtually while the family finalized their move from Alabama, the project reflects careful planning and trust in the process. The result is a home that feels cohesive, welcoming, and thoughtfully tailored to the rhythm of family life.
